Where are the thinkers like this in the music business? Better yet, where are the thinkers like this that MAKE music? I want to make a record that’s just so dang good that people HAVE to come see us play it live…I’m going to do everything I can!

I’m done trying to figure out how to monetize music. All anyone knows is that the price point has got to be so good, and the platform that it’s consumed on so seemless, that it’s just a better proposition than the process of getting music for free.

In the mean time I still believe that if people are making something that’s truly great, truly special…whether it’s a gadget, a service, or a song…people will come. As my man Guy Kawasaki says, don’t worry about making money…make MEANING first…the money will come.
